As a muslim woman, there are certain rules abt dressing appropriately. We are not able to expose our aurat (only the palm of our hands and face can be exposed). However, there are flexibility in today’s modern context.
Here are some ways young muslim women like me can dress. These pictures are courtesy from Wetseal (a store from the US just like Forever21). And they are affordable too.

Long sleeve tee with Sequined Silver Tank Top like Jersey together with Skinny Jeans and Knee-high Boots.

Long Sleeve Cardigan and Metallic Tank Top with Skinny Jeans and Ankle Boots.

For those who are slightly more daring: Leggings, Tank Top and Long Sweater with Knee-high Boots
Now all you need is the hijab (tudung) to match each single outfit. Have fun mixing and matching your outfits.
You can get their clothes at www.wetseal.com.

Like every girl out there, I dream of owning a pair of Jimmy Choos. Seeing that its impossible to dream that BIG, reluctantly pulling myself back to earth, I decided that Aldo shoes were a good deal.
Walking in and out of Aldo stores, all I wanted was a pair of their gorgeous knee-high boots. Why would a hijab – tudung wearing girl like me need knee-high boots for? Well, I like tucking my skinny jeans into my boots and also wearing skirts with slits exposes my legs (this is where wearing knee-high boots comes in handy). Besides, I LOVE knee-high boots for its sexiness and who says conservative ladies cant dress up in boots and have some fun. It keeps my feet warm and dry during the current monsoon season.
So yes… I have a fascination with knee-high boots. I believe that all girls, women and ladies out there should have atleast one pair of boots. Knee-high or ankle boots. It doesn’t matter.
I’ve been aiming my Aldo boots for quite sometime now. I will drag Fai into an Aldo store just to let him have a look at the pair of my choice. He’s a very important person to me and his views of what looks good on me and what doesn’t is a very huge influence on my choices of things. Aldo boots he agreed was one of a kind. It was worth the money but at S$195 it was slightly steep for me. I told myself that I will get them end of the month or early next year.
However, with GOD’s grace, I found myself or should say Fai found a similar looking pair of knee-high boots at U.R.S for a steal at S$99.90 during our window shopping rendevous recently at VivoCity. Unfortunately the only available size they have are 39 and above. Im a size 37/6. The sales girl was really nice to us and she checked other U.R.S stores for either 37 or 38. She manages to find one. U.R.S store at The Heeren was our saviour. I reserved myself a pair and headed down to Heeren the following day.
I was looking forward to getting my boots the very next day, and topping my surprise when I was at U.R.S The Heeren paying for my boots, I get a 10% discount of the boots. My final pay for my knee-high boots was S$90.

U.R.S Knee-high Boots at S$99.90
I am a very happy girl who once dream of owning a pair of Aldo boots. For now, I am more than content to be with my almost similar U.R.S version of Aldo boots. If you can find a cheaper alternative to whatever you’re looking for that comes in good quality like mine does, do no think twice and hesitate. Get it the soonest and you’ll be one satisfied customer.
