Ever tried buying something from ebay? I just did. My first ever ebay item is a Mascara from Maybelline. Ebay has many great interesting things. Best of all, you can get items which are not available here in Singapore. My Maybelline mascara for instance isn’t available here. I bought myself Great Lash Mascara in Very Black. Great Lash is the iconic Maybelline mascara in green and pink tube. It is a pity that Great Lash isn’t available here. Thanks to ebay I manage to get myself the most sellable mascara in the world.
It all started with me wanting the latest Maybelline Mascara – Volum’ Express Hyper Curl. I was just going through ebay to find a cheap deal, wondering if anyone would have posted it up for SALE. I typed in Maybelline mascara and all I got is the Great Lash. Knowing its popularity, I tried my luck with it. I’ve had my ebay account since 2005 but I’ve never actually bought anything from it. I was one of those sceptics. However, my vanity made me click the purchase button. And, two days later after I’ve made my payment, I received my mascara. I was esctatic!
There are alot of risks involved shopping on ebay. Firstly, you do not know whether the seller is legitimate or is just out to con people. The trick is, before purchasing any item on ebay, is to read up on all the reviews about the seller. Buy items ONLY from seller with positive reviews (this goes to selling as well – read up on potential buyers). Next, email the seller with regards to any issue on the products and payment transaction. Once you’re confident enough, make your purchase. I like buying items from Singaporean sellers. It makes payment so much easier and I get free shipping. Most ebay sellers will wait for the dough to come through first before sending out item. Shipment takes about two days after I’ve made my payment. Another thing to keep in mind is, ALWAYS remember to leave a message to your seller after you have made payment (another tip is to ask for seller’s contact details).
I am so happy with my current purchase that I am intending to buy another item from the same seller on ebay.
