My Latest Craze!

Since I started working, Fai said I’ve changed. I’ve change in my taste for bags. Hehe.. I used to love cutesy little bags (I still do!) But, they’re no more practical for my liking except for when I have to attend weddings or dinners. Nowadays, I prefer carrying a bigger bag. From gym bags to totes and hobos. Big bags are much more practical for me. Firstly, I carry lots of things with me. My daily essentials include my Tomato Can makeup bag, Balenciaga wallet, Esprit umbrella, Aldo shades, Motorola Razr V3xx mobile and earpiece, The Folio Society Parker Pen, OCU Mass Communication name card holder (given by my lecturer to all graduating OCU Mass Communication students), a set of keys, medicine bag, an occasionally a book (now it’s the Final Theory handbook. Yes people! Finally taking my FTT) and also a notebook for when I’ve to meet clients.

My latest bag addition is this black tote from Aldo. Now, Aldo is famous for their killer heels shoes but their bags are as gorgeous as their killer heels. Fai got me this Aldo tote as a gift just because I liked it (I’m so spoilt. I know!) :D But that doesn’t mean I don’t spend on him or don’t appreciate him at all. Even though I am super broke this month, I still managed to buy Fai 2 shirts from Bods.Bodynits and trust me, the shirts are expensive!

(Ok! Back to the main story now) 1 bag is just not enough for any girls or women. Bags are important essentials for me and without them, I feel slightly naked. I need to have them matched with almost each of my every outfit. It doesn’t matter if I can’t afford totes and bags from Louis Vuitton or TODS, affordable bags from ALDO, Mango and even those which can be found in Bugis Village is enough to make a statement. Aldo Accessories have a variety of bags from casual to evening wear all available at affordable prices. I still don’t know why some girls still splurge on bags which are way over their budget. My Aldo bag is only S$85/- over 3x less than high-end brands.

McDonalds McGriddles SUPER YUMMY

OH MY GOD!

I just had the most perfect and filling breakfast ever imaginable. I never knew that i will ever taste such a magnificent breakfast ever again. It straight away brought back memories when i was in America. Having those soft fluffy blueberry pancakes that literally melts in your mouth with Hersheys Hot chocolate.

I have heard and seen the McGriddles ads around Singapore with Power 98 marketing heavily on it. Without trying it, I just passed judgement that it’s just another lousy breakfast burger. TIll this momentous morning, where fate and chance collide to ensure that I shall never miss another breakfast ever again. For the rest of my life…

I was sending Nurul to work and we did our favourite routine, to head to the drive through at McDonalds East Coast Park. Nurul decided on eating hotcakes and I was about to order hotcakes for myself too when Nurul told me to try the McGriddles. I was skeptical at first as i just thought it was another gimmick by McDonalds to sell lousy food.

Then the sinker, Nurul goes like “I think it’s dipped in maple syrup.” Haha. My heart went like, oh okay, since there’s maple syrup, let’s just give it a try.

It was hot and smelt wonderful when i opened the wrapper. I noticed that it wasn’t a normal bun but a muffin bun. I placed some garlic chilli on it and finally took my first bite. What can i say? The taste was exuberant with soft muffin dip in maple syrup and chili with chicken meat. I went like one bite and i went like Neo in the Matrix, “WOAH!”

Nurul was looking at my reaction and immediately went, “Let me have a bite.” The moment she took one bite, she lost all interest in her hotcakes. She went with her eyes fluttering, “Mind if we switch? ” In my heart, i was like, DAMN! Haha! Oh well, guess I will have you another time McGriddles. I will enjoy you alone all to myself. Hehehehe.

Trust me people, the McGriddles is DA BOMB! It’s soft, so soft that hotcakes feel hard after it. And it taste so good. Woah, you want to have more. The next thing you want to do tomorrow morning, is to pick up your phone, dial 6-777-3-777 and order a McGriddles. Trust me, you wouldn’t be disappointed.

U, Me Aur Hum and The Notebook

Well, i decided to relax and clear my mind on Saturday after my BS313 before heading back to my books. And of course, i wanted to spend time with my lovable Nurul. Haha! It’s been a while since we last caught a Hindi movie, So we were geared up to catch one. I honestly have not heard of U, ME Aur HUM. I actually wanted to catch Jodhaa Akbar but it stopped showing at Shaw Jade. It’s the fictional Historic Movie of the Mughal Empire, starring Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Yes, she has Bachchan now as her surname when they showed Sarkar Raj (Sarkar 2) clips. A powerful name indeed.

But back to the picture. While i was teaching tuition, Nurul was busily watching the clips of the movie in her room and was immediately excited over the show. It is a movie copied from the ever acclaimed Nicholas Sparks’ The Notebook. Fans who have read The Notebook first must have indeed been disappointed with the movie. I know Nurul was deeply flabbergasted and utter disappointment sketched over her face when i asked about The Notebook movie.

(They clearly said from the BEST SELLING NOVEL)

Well, if you have loved the book and was disappointed with the movie. Have no fear, for there is a movie that gives The Notebook every credit it deserves, not to mention the tears streaking down your face too.

U, Me Aur Hum (You, Me & Us) Trailer

It is a Bollywood film staring two A-list married actors, Ajay Devgan as Dr. Ajay & Kajol as Pia. Produced and directed by Ajay Devgan himself. (The couple have always wanted to spend more time together. Guess, the only way to ensure that is by a making a movie themselves). It is a tear jerker, indeed a sure Blockbuster and I can’t wait for it to win awards. The story is about Dr Ajay, a psychiatrist, falling in love with the beautiful waitress, Pia, on board of a beautiful getaway crusie ship. Well, it’s basically how boy meets girl, boy gets girl. But thats where the typical Bollywood storyline ends as problems arise. Not your typical Bollywood problem. A major problem, one that deals with the mind and threatens to break their relationship apart. I will not tell too much but those who have seen or read the Notebook knows about it. It surely encompasses and educates the public over “IT” (Hehe. Guess my readers will be pissed of by it!)

U, Me Aur Hum is a brilliant copy of The Notebook and trust me when i say that it is able to fill your heart’s desires with the same words that struck a chord in your heart when you were mesmerised with Sparks’ words. I have to praise the actors, Ajay Devgan and Kajol. Any unqualified actor would have failed and bring shame to the movie. For surely, one has to have wonderful dramatic skill to successfully display every inch of emotion and feeling to portray on screen with which words that had the ability to cause millions of women out there to cry. Certainly, Bollywood is at an advantage here with its dramatic scenes, meaningful music and it’s emotional binding lyrical Hindi language that’s able to capture your heart. (Indeed, the title itself is already able to move your soul.)
