It was casual friday, and what have I decided to wear to work that day..? An oversized shirt in “Small” bought by mum during her recent trip to Sri Lanka together with one of my favourite jeans.

Malaysia’s Petrol Ban Effective 9 June

Published by FaiNur under Random

Well people. I just got back from Johor Bahru. And, oh my God. IT was JAM! The jam began all the way even before the Woodlands Avenue 3 exit on BKE. Lucky for me, instead of continuing with the BKE, i exit at Ave 3 and head for the back route to JB. Unfortunately, others had the same idea too. It left me waiting there for around 1& 1/2 hrs. Many Singaporeans went over as most were afraid that the Petrol Ban will take into effect tomorrow as it has been reported in the papers. However, when i reached at the Petronas Petrol Kiosk, the lady there informed me that the Prime Minister of Malaysia Abdullah Badawi had made a press conference on TV3 regarding about the petrol ban.

50km Petrol Ban on Singaporean Cars in Malaysia

Published by FaiNur under Random

There i was thinking that today was gonna be a great day. How wrong I was when all I had to do was open the Straits Times and read page 4 of it’s main section.

Malaysia’s 50 KM Petrol Ban on Foreign Motorists

I stared at it in shock and disbelief as i had always perceived the actions to be taken were either an entrance levy or a lower subsidy. A ban was something that I hadn’t imagined. Malaysia is doing this as a temporary stop gap solution to cut escalating inflation prices.

Disciplinary Action on Mas Selamat by DPM Wong Kan Seng

Published by FaiNur under Random

It has been 58 days since February 27th, the day Mas Selamat escaped from Whitley Road Internal Security Department (ISD) Detention Centre. I am still amazed and yet fearful that we have not been able to uncover and apprehend the detainee Mas Selamat. Still, checks must still be maintained as we cannot let our guard down cause there is still a possibility that Mas Selamat is still in Singapore. Though highly unlikely. However, disciplinary actions have been meted out today to members that have been found guilty with the escape of Mas Selamat.

The World’s Wildest Architecture

Published by FaiNur under Random

I love buildings and structures. I still remember a time when Nurul was still doing her University degree, we went all around Singapore taking pictures of buildings architecture. It was for one of her modules on art and that includes Baroque designs and we set forth taking pictures in Singapore that covered the aspect of Baroque architecture. Such a building is Park View Square or Gotham Building at Bugis. I remember it’s unique gargoyles and statues of philosophical thinkers and inventors like Plato and Newton. Also it’s beautiful interior decor. Indeed, an amazing building that took quite a feat to take pictures of it.

Well, read this article posted at MSN Travel : The World’s Wildest Architecture

It has many unique and quirky buildings that reminded me of the Cake House at Hollywood. Also, it has the famous Casa Batllo in Barcelona.

Interestingly, Nurul did a write up on this building. So i couldn’t help but fathom the coincidence of seeing it in this article.

Hope you enjoy the article.

My Little Black Heels

Published by FaiNur under Fashion

I love shoes and there’s no denying it. I may have a little too many pairs but I am still not satisfied. There are so many shoes out there at affordable prices and I somehow always crumble at the sight of pretty shoes. I also reason with myself that I definitely need that extra pair in that colour to match a couple of my “non-existent” outfits. ;)

So… Recently I just bought another slingback pumps from Itti Otto in BLACK.
