Casual meets Formal

A wonderful day for a wonderful person (especially Nurul’s Birthday!), everything must be perfect. From gifts to events to food and most importantly the attire! It took me quite a while to decided what should i wear for Nurul’s birthday. (You can say like a month!) Different clothes, mix matches with different themes kept on interplaying within my mind. I wanted to have something new to impress Nurul. Unfortunately i was low on cash due to the event thus i had to improvise. I was about to sought back to the Floral Zara shirt when lightning stuck me. Finally, i came up with this. Nice, ain’t it?

The whole attire is a mix and match. The black Jacket is a Japanese blazer made of velvet that i bought for $100 at a now defunct suit tailor shop at Tanjong Pagar in 2004 (Irfan & Azima should clearly remember when i bought this with my brother! :) Thanks for showing the shop to me bro!) A great investment that exudes a touch of class & uniqueness whenever i wear it for events. It never fails to impress.

Along with it was my trusty Renoma black singlet at 3 for $10 from Robinson’s Sale. Hehe. Guys, you must have plenty of plain coloured tee’s with black and white being a must in your wardrobe. It is essentially a handy t-shirt that is able to add depth to your appearance.

Above it was my favourite Topman V-neck t-shirt that i got at 2 for $30 at their annual sales from Topman Marina Centre. I love the classy v-neck cut that comes along with the unique copper colour that ensures a vibrant contrast with the jacket. The other tee that i have in yellow is also a nice sight to behold, figuratively basking the sun’s radiance.

I really have to thank Lee Cooper for making such comfortable slim fit jeans with a brilliant cutting. When i first tried it, Nurul went like “Fai, Get it!”. I bought it recently this year at VivoCity Tangs. It was going for a cool $80 & lucky for me that i got a Tangs $40 voucher thanks largely to my Starhub Rewards Points. A nice steal indeed.

And finally, those beautiful exuberant shoes that has caused many tongues wagging around me. I was shopping with my brother Firdaus at BHG Tampines Century Square when i chanced upon these classy, sexy Everbest shoes with a sharp end toe style that could literally stab a man to death. It is so comfortable and you feel entirely confident when you walk around in them. Honestly, after wearing it, i felt that i could go up to any lady and get her number. (Haha. That’s if Nurul doesn’t kill me first.) Every guy needs such a formal yet casual classy shoe in their arsenal. OH yeah! Did i forget to mention that it cost me only $39! It was on sale. Even now Everbest is having a sale at their shops so head on down.

Indeed, an attire perfectly fit for the occasion.

    Hey Chad,

Vest? Hmm, its a blazer. But to be frank bro, I am gonna keep it. It’s hard to find. It’s Japanese made and I paid a few hundred bucks for it bro. But I can reccomend some good shops. You can try the usual Topman. But if you are looking for good quality ones, you can head on down to Far East 1st Floor. For Gentleman is the shop’s name. It has quite a few classy blazers altho it’s kinda expensive.
