It’s that time of the month and I needed to get myself some sanitary napkins. So, I head on out to the nearest supermarket and grabbed my usual pack of Kotex and what do I see? A Dove Straight & Silky travel size shampoo attached to it. What a weird combination you might think right? I thought so too. What does Dove and Kotex have in common? Oh wait. Women. The combination may be slightly off but hey! At least I got myself a freebie. Lol!
I’ve stopped using Dove brand of shampoos since I was 19. Back then, Dove only had one range of shampoo (which I totally cannot recall now). However, what I remembered was that the shampoo gave extraordinary moisturising benefits. On top of the moisturising benefit, my hair smelt and felt great. I know because vain me couldn’t stop playing with her own hair.
Today, after trying out the Dove Straight & Silky range, I was once again reminded how wonderful my hair feels after using the shampoo. It still boast the same wonderful moisturising benefit. With the Straight & Silky range, it contains 1/4 silky serum an added ingredient for beautiful luscious hair.
However, I don’t notice much about my hair being silky and since it’s straight to begin with, there wasn’t much comparison. Nevertheless, I still do like how my hair feels after washing with Dove Straight & Silky. My hair is less oily and definitely doesn’t have tangles at the ends. One thing I regret that Dove Straight & Silky doesn’t have is, an ingredient to prevent hair fall. As a matter of fact, non of the Dove range of shampoos prevents hair fall. Whereas, for people with dandruff, Dove has an anti-dandruff range for you.
If only Dove shampoos came up with an all-in-one anti-dandruff and hair fall defense shampoo. Dove shampoos would be perfect for me. It is currently available at most supermarkets retailing at $10.70 for a 700ml bottle.
