Lilliputt – BIG Golfing FUN!

Hi everybody!

Yesh, yesh. It’s been a while but I just have to write this post. My German cousins (Riduan & Razif) were in Singapore the past week and Nurul & I decided to bring the boys out for some serious FUN! Haha. Especially when they were about to leave soon. (For your info, they just left yesterday!) I was tinkering with my pondering over the solution to my predicament. It was then that i saw a picture of Tiger Woods selling Gillette Mach3 blades that finally the idea dawned upon me.

LILLIPUTT – Big Splash @ East Coast

Lilliputt is basically a game of golf. Except it only covers one aspect of it: Putting! Found on the third floor, it covers a lager 10,000 sq feet area to meet and satisfy all your golfing needs. To pit man against man (or woman. hehe. :) ) in the natural struggle to prove who is the better GOLFER! The challengers were Nurul, Me, Riduan & Razif. The young vs old, the Germans vs the Singaporeans, the men vs the lady!

And it was a whole load of fun!

We were warmly greeted when we arrived at the place. After paying the entrance fees and having worn our socks, we were then taught by the friendly staff the basics of putting! Frankly, i have little experience and the training didn’t help. Nurul and the boys had some experience so they were a match to face up to.  There were 18 golfing holes with challenging courses and filled with many interesting miniatures covering the landmarks of Singapore from Changi Airport, Suntec City to Haw Par Villa.

Frustration and hunger gripped us as we successfully manoeuvred down each course. It certainly gave me a glimpse on the physical and mental pressures faced by golfers. And this was just only PUTTING! Haha! Watch out for Suntec City! It’s a killer especially with it’s raised hole (Nurul was the only one who managed to put the ball in). Also, the final hole 18 is tough with it’s meanders. SImply put, you have to have nerves of steel and concentration to lead. Also, just have FUN and enjoy the atmosphere!

As the scores were tabulated, there seems to be two battles between the competitors. The 1st Battle was Nurul “The PRO” with her experience and guile putting vs Razif “The Calculator” with his ever analysis and pondering over course angles. The 2nd Battle was “Lucky Boy” Riduan with lady luck smiling upon him as balls just stopped at the right places vs Fairoz “The Inexperience Noob” who hits the balls too hard and takes wild shots. The End Result: Nurul lost to Razif by one stroke & Fairoz drew with Riduan who had a magnificent second half.

Haha. Frankly, head on down to Lilliputt. It’s a fun wholesome activity which is able to unite the family. It will bring smiles and just have a great laugh looking at the many fascinating miniatures displayed on each course. I know i will be looking forward to a rematch with Riduan and am certainly sure Nurul is currently perfecting her putting to beat Razif. Till the next time that is…
