Lookbook: Fashion Retro

Last night we attended one of my friend’s wedding dinner. Since it was at Fort Canning Park, I thought I should opt for something less glamourous. Usually, I end up wearing one of my traditional outfits. Either baju kurung/kebaya or the abaya (jubah) dress.

This time I went for something more retro. Well, my outfit wasn’t vintage. The prints on my dress were kind of retro (not, vintage).

Brown Tudung:

Geylang

Long sleeve white t-shirt:

Borrowed from youngest sis (Naajihah)

Retro print dress:

Borrowed from 4thsis (Naqibah)

Brown Leggings:

Sorbet from BHG

Knee Length Boots:

U.R.S

Sling Bag:

Nine West

The first time I wore this outfit, I felt conscious. Now that I was wearing it for the second time, I had no qualms about strutting down Fort Canning Park and then Clarke Quay.

One thing though, I would advise wearing such outfits when the weather is not so hot. Otherwise, keep it simple. Also, for us (tudung wearing), be mindful that when wearing leggings, try to wear tops which are long and loose enough to cover your bum.

P.S. I hate how my camera’s flash makes my face looks really oily.

  1. Hi. I wanted to drop you a quick note to verbalize my thanks. Ive been watching your blog for a month or so and have picked up a heap of good information as well as enjoyed the way youve structured your site. I am undertaking to run my own blog however I think its too general and I would like to focus more on smaller topics.
