Stage Cosmetics

Have you heard of Stage Cosmetics? It’s a new home grown brand from Alliance Cosmetics. Alliance Cosmetics is the same group of companies that brings in popular drugstore brands like Revlon and Silkygirl.

Stage

Well, Stage has been in Singapore for over a couple of months now; and I’ve had the privilege to try it out recently at a workshop for bloggers at its Suntec outlet.

I’ve never attended a makeup workshop before. The previous Clinique workshop was just about foundations. This was about the art of wearing makeup. Can you imagine my eagerness for wanting to attend the workshop? Hehe..

Truthfully, I was more interested in learning how to apply makeup properly. The goodie bag of makeup stash that comes along with it are just bonuses. :D

Anyways, I am quite surprised and pleased with the range of makeup from Stage. All of their products are manufactured from all around the world. From Europe to Asia. And I must say, they totally know what they are doing!

The liquid foundation that I use, Picture Perfect Foundation, gives good coverage and on top of that it’s very light. While, the Studio Perfect Compact Powder gives my skin a matte and dewy look. I loved it! And, their makeups are very pigmented which means, you only need a dap of blush to have rosy cheeks.

However, I think they flawed in the mascaras department. The mascara which I used was Drama Lash, it was flaky and clumpy. I totally didn’t like it and so I used my own mascara in the end.

Anyways, apart from mascaras, they do have good makeup tools. Their brushes are of the best quality. Very very soft. Overall, I loved the brand and its makeup selection.

Having said all of that, Stage is perfect for amateur makeup artists like me. Why so? Stage is almost similar to MAC. From its packaging to the wide array of makeup selection. However, Stage is more affordable. Their makeup are priced at $20 to $40. Also, this means you don’t have to burn your pockets to supply your beauty and makeup addiction. Which is why it is utterly perfect for me. ;)
