Did we miss Valentine’s?

February 14th was definitely a day of celebration. Everywhere we walked we saw couples holding hands as well as bouquets of flowers. Yours truly is of course of no exception. We were gleefully walking hand-in-hand as we head down to one of MY favourite ‘seafood’ restaurant…

Where were we?

Can you guess where the secret fishing hole is? P.S. Fai was a hungry man during this shot. Hence the face. ;)

We started the day out with Fai coming over to give tuition to my youngest sis. Poor him as he had to see me in my most unglam moments as I walked out of my room in my jammies. Hehe…

Nevertheless, I dolled up just in time before we head out to have our Valentine’s Day celebration. Yes, yes! Busy, busy me had the weekend off for that. Alhamdulillah (Thank God!) ;)

I wasn’t very much sure what I wanted to do with my eyes. Initially, I wanted to do a smoky eye effect. But unfortunately, time wasn’t on my side. Thus, I ended up having a semi-smoky eyes. One thing is for sure though, the eyeshadow primer I got from StagePrime Time Eye Perfection Base, helped my eyeshadows stay throughout my whole date with my beloved fiance. Can you believe that there was very little insignificant crease at the end of the day? I’ve never really truely managed that.

Anyways, we drove all the way to Plaza Singapura to have lunch at my ‘favourite’ seafood restaurant..

The Manhattan Fish Market

The Manhattan Fish Market

Well, truthfully, it is really not my favourite seafood place. Basically, I love food and The Manhattan Fish Market has one of the best westernised seafoods. Definitely better that Fish & Co.

Their seafood platter is simply irresistable and very mouthwatering. They serve up a huge portion of fresh seafood. It is also the only time when Fai gets to have his fish and chips. Hehe.. And the best part of it all, our Valentine’s lunch was less than $50. Definitely a bargain.

In the midst of waiting for our food, we exchanged gifts.

Yes, Valentine’s Day is very much overrated. But what is there not to like about it? Any reason to celebrate ‘love’ should be accepted with open arms. On top of that, you get gifts from your loved ones to.

Happy very belated Valentine’s Day everybody! ;)

P.S.S. We also caught Valkyrie on that very same day.

Is The Manhattan Fish Market halal?
I thought it only is at their Malaysian outlets

  2. FaiNur says:

Hi Rina, The Manhattan Fish Market is NOT Halal as it sells liquor and so we only consume seafood while we were there. :D
