Maxi Dress: Still a hit!

Early last year, Hollywood celebraties brought back Maxi dresses as a fashion must-have for Spring. A year later, they are still very much in demand!

I for one, am very glad that Maxi dresses are available everywhere. Firstly, this hijab-tudung-wearing girl can only wear long skirts, dresses, pants, jeans etc… So, Maxi dress being the latest and still valid fashion trend means there are a whole lot more choice of clothes for me.

Although, I am very disappointed with the prices they put on these beautiful dresses. Maxi dress can cost a whopping $300. For those available at Metro etc, they would have cost about $70 plus. Nevertheless, I managed to find a couple of bargain hunts from favourite haunts all over the island.

First of all, This Fashion still doesn’t disappoint me with their China quality, cheap and affordable merchandise. I bought this purple number from the outlet at Bedok Interchange. It cost me only about $30-ish.

Archery with style

I even wore it to the archery gallery. Haha.. Never would have figured that I would end up doing archery in a dress.

Whereas, this maroon one was bought specifically for Valentine’s in mind. I got this from 37 degrees at VivoCity. Also around $30-ish. I’m currently contemplating if I should get the black one.

This maxi dress is so cute! For those of you who do not wear the hijab/tudung, you can actually style this dress as an off-the-shoulder maxi as well. I doubt you can see the details of this dress under my hijab/tudung.

For now, I’m stocking up on Maxi dresses before they run out of style. Hehehee.. I know I definitely will continue wearing them.
