Stepping out of my comfort zone

Published by FaiNur at 12:02 am under Fashion

I am always into trying new things and it’s been a while since I tried sporting a new look. Like beauty and makeup, fashion too is a very important factor in my life. I can’t help it as I am pretty much a very vain girl.

As I try out a new style, I become very conscious of myself and it takes quite a lot of convincing from Fai to make me feel comfortable in my chosen outfit. As my fiance, he always does know when to use the right words, pointing out to me that I was actually able to pull off this style.

This look is not new to most tudung (hijab) wearing Muslim girls (especially around this region). I have always been intrigued and amazed at what wonders they can do with their scarves. Some of these women could even turn their scarves into simple works of art like making a rose out of it. For me, this is all I could manage though. However, I am on the look out for more styles to try out.

This is the second time I tried out this style and both times Fai assured me that I look very chic. Also, I can accessorise with this outfit. Check out my mismatched ear rings. Aren’t they cute? It’s from Isetan Scotts. However, being very self-conscious about my appearances, I still feel slightly uncomfortable. Maybe I need to get used to it.

Aside from the ear rings, I didn’t spend a single cent creating this outfit. Hehe.. I used a shawl given to me for my birthday by Bayah, Didi and Clara. As for my top, I borrowed it from my younger sister (before this I actually hate wearing turtlenecks). While jeans are my very own Levi’s. :D

You know I honestly think it’s so cool that you can be conservative but still look good! A lot of girls mistakenly go for the barely clothed look to be sexy, but you show that you can be decent and still fashionable :D

Hi Kaye! Thanks alot for the comment. As a muslim we’re advised to dress conservatively. And yeah, there are plenty of ways to be fashionable and sexy without compromising your dignity. :D
