It was a hard fight between the rocker Adam Lambert and the crooner Kris Allen. Well, all the wait will finally be over. And the American Idol Winner for 2009 is……..

Yes, I know your checking it twice but trust me, it’s true. Kris Allen the dark horse trumped the all time favourite Adam Lambert. How did it happen? No one saw it coming. But, I have to say the Adam made grave mistakes with his performances. Ever since his performance with Slash, he adopted the rockers attitude. Unfortunately, he also kept screaming his high notes that not many were able to appreciate the songs. Don’t get me wrong, i love Adam more. To me, he is a brilliant showman with the great likehood to pull off amazing concerts. Am sure am one whom can’t wait to go for his concert. It’s just that he became too much rock that he lost his major public who were basically crooners and poppers fans.
All hats off to Kris Allen. His performance was although not engaging (somewhat boring) but his words were smooth and brilliant. His singing voice was just perfect and each word was chorded beautifully. Their situation reminds me of Taufik Batisah and Hady Mirza. Hady has the better voice but Taufik has the better showmanship. To all the Adam fans out there, don’t worry. He will be up making great albums. Am not sure of Kris though.

sorry but i have to disagree wif u abt allen’s performance not being engaging. in fact i tink adam’s performance wasnt engaging enuf cos he was too focus on reaching the high notes that he kinda forgot the audiences.
whereas kris…the 1st performance “aint no sunshine” – wasnt that engaging enuf for u?? i was practically moved by him. sure he wasnt showy like adam but sometym u dont nid all the props to catch the pple’s attentn.
i was an adam fan in the beginning but ya like u said…i was tired of hearin him screamin every week. n i was simply put off by the judges n producers favoritism towards adam. that’s not his fault though…
kris juz suddenly capture my attentn with his creativity n uniqueness…the way he change up the songs esp aint no sunshine, she works hard for the money n heartless…
still i will support both guys…they r winners in their own way…
