La Roche-Posay: Effaclar M Mattifying Moisturiser
Like how we need water for us to stay dehydrated, so does our skin. Our skin needs to be moisturised to stay soft and supple.
But for me, I seriously think it is slightly over-moisturised cause I’ve combination skin. Which means that after awhile my face becomes oilier. But from what I’ve heard (from most beauty experts), oily skin still needs to be moisturised daily. Thankfully, the beauty industry has evolved drastically to accommodate each beauty need.
As for me, I need a mattifying moisturiser so that my skin won’t look like as if the sebum produced on it can be used to fry an egg. Recently, I’ve used the La Roche-Posay Effaclar M Mattifying Moisturiser as part of my daily beauty routine.
The Effaclar range from La Roche-Posay is a comprehensive range of hygiene and skincare products developed for the various stages of oily and acne-prone skin. This particular moisturiser has Zinc Pidolate to neutralise shine and Vitamin CG and E to prevent sebum.
But unfortunately, my skin doesn’t really react much to the moisturiser. It turns greasy even with this moisturiser. Although, it works wonders on the skin of my neck. You see, there are visible signs of ageing on my neck, as I thought it lacks moisture. Thus, La Roche-Posay Effaclar M Mattifying Moisturiser feels wonderful on the skin of my neck.
At $36.90 and with only 40ml, I think it is a good purchase for someone who has mild combination skin. As for me, I still need to be looking for a perfect and affordable mattifying moisturiser.
