The Body Shop Moisture White review and Earth Lovers Shower Gels GIVEAWAY!

Last Wednesday (Mar 16) morning, I woke up to goodies from The Body Shop. One was a basket full of shower gels and the other facial products.

I was of course excited to have received all the items which came in a cute picnic basket (sorry no picture). But what made my day was the Moisture White Shiso BB Cream (happy dance!).

As you all know, I’m an advocate (a very BIG fan) of BB creams. Thus, I couldn’t wait to try it out.

The Body Shop recently introduced their first BB cream as part of their Moisture White line.  At S$32.90, the Shiso BB Cream comes with SPF25 PA+++ and is suitable for all skin types with beneficial ingredients like Shiso, Vitamin C, Liquorice and Community Fair Trade Aloe Vera.

ElishaCoy BB Creams Review

Hola people! I can’t believe it is mid-week already. Time really flies.

I wanted to do a fashion post but I think this takes priority. The nice people of Lush Group contacted me recently and asked if I’d be interested in reviewing a series of ElishaCoy BB Creams.

Of course I jumped at this opportunity when I heard I was getting three samples (yup! That’s right, three samples ya’ll!) and furthermore, all Elisha Coy products are organic.

The samples they sent me are part of ElishaCoy Limited Edition Speical BB Cream which are currently on sale until December 31.

I received the package last Friday and have been wearing one BB cream each day since Saturday.

This is me – before

ElishaCoy Diamond Shiny Pearl BB Cream

This BB cream has SPF27 PA++ (do not ask me why it has such an odd number) and it contains six fruit flower (Peach, Lime, Apple, Pomegranate, Orange, Plum) extracts with a secret – it also has seven jewellery complex (Amethyst, Pearl, Coral, Tourmaline, Jade, Diamond, and Amber).

Just from the above, this BB cream sounds impressive huh? Well, honestly, it isn’t that bad. The first thing you will notice is that the BB cream sparkles when applied on your skin – this is supposed to help get rid of imperfections during photo-taking, just like the Revlon Photo Ready Foundation (I’ve yet to write a review for this one).

However, given the Natural Phyto Therapy it boasts, the BB Cream doesn’t do much justice in pictures. It also doesn’t give that good of a coverage. But, I love how light it feels on my skin and how it blends easily.

ElishaCoy Always Triple BB Cream

This next BB cream is like an elixir. It has whitening properties, improves wrinkles and comes with SPF 30 PA++. It contains natural ingredients like Royal Jelly and Caviar to help protect and improve skin. Sounds like a WONDER product doesn’t it?

Well, guess what? As far as I am concerned, I think it is. It covers evenly and I could hardly see all the blemishes on my face – can be used as a makeup base or as a foundation on its own.

However, I’ve only used it once and I am not sure how impressive is its whitening and wrinkle-improving properties.

Among all three this is my least favourite product even though it sounds very impressive and is the most suitable for sensitive skin. Firstly it is because I need my BB creams to give me a substantial coverage if not perfect. I can barely see the difference after applying this one.

However for those who wants a more natural look, you may prefer this BB cream as opposed to the other two as this one gives you the feeling of a natural, clean, and bare make-up.

It is also soothing because of its pure vegetable ingredients.
