Well all men around the world love to style their hair. Who wouldn’t? That extra spazz goes a long way in impressing your loved ones. Either on a date or a special occasion, styled hair exudes confidence, personality and certainly charisma. Well, i certainly believe that every man needs to have Brylcreem. It may be old but damned, its the only thing that surely gives that smooth & wet finish.
Exams exams exams! Well, am in the heat of my studies. Preparing for my final year exams. Its been a hectic 2 weeks so it was great to have a day out with my dear Nurul. Honestly, I have been eyeing a Fedora Hat for the past few weeks. One such hat caught my eye while we were browsing at Accessories at Bugis Junction. However, it is kind of expensive so i was putting it off. I am an avid hat lover but i rarely wear them as i just love spicing up my hair. Furthermore, the hats that i do have are not casual enough to go with many outfits. I have a brown leather cap, black ski hat & a beige straw hat. Thus, it was at the most unlikeliest of places that I had found the perfect Fedora Hat.

The Cathay to many seems like a sleepy dull place. Somewhat like a white elephant or a “Buangkok” of Orchard Road where there are few shops and people only head there for movies. I still remember the Old Cathay with it’s big flashy hand painted Cinema Posters, a somewhat retro memory of the yesteryears especially a soft spot for Changi Cinema at Bedok.
However, it’s all a facade as The Cathay near Plaza Singapura indeed holds many unknown and unique shops with products that will attract any niche market. Nurul & I were there to catch Penelope (Starring the ever dark & hot Christina Ricci & Hollywoods current hot new star James McAvoy). A delightful movie with a twist of fairytales.
After the movie, we were just roaming around the mall and amazingly there is indeed a wide variety of shops ranging from cyber cafe, restaurants, eateries music store, fashion shops, design studios, unique and indie boutiques, Ben & Jerry’s, Starbucks & finally WhatHe Wants.
