La Roche-Posay: Effaclar M Mattifying Moisturiser

Published by FaiNur under Beauty

Like how we need water for us to stay dehydrated, so does our skin. Our skin needs to be moisturised to stay soft and supple.

But for me, I seriously think it is slightly over-moisturised cause I’ve combination skin. Which means that after awhile my face becomes oilier. But from what I’ve heard (from most beauty experts), oily skin still needs to be moisturised daily. Thankfully, the beauty industry has evolved drastically to accommodate each beauty need.

As for me, I need a mattifying moisturiser so that my skin won’t look like as if the sebum produced on it can be used to fry an egg. Recently, I’ve used the La Roche-Posay Effaclar M Mattifying Moisturiser as part of my daily beauty routine.

This is the first installment of our La Roche-Posay facial care series. We shall be trying out most of the La Roche-Posay range and will be blogging of our opinions here in the weeks to come.

Anthelios 50 Cream

Well, as you know, I am a really big fan of sunblock. Being a brown guy, it’s ever important to protect my skin from the harmful Sun’s UVA rays. And am a typical guy and I dislike the all important steps. Thus, I like to take shortcuts and reduce the number of steps. It is a big help to have a SPF sunblock cream with some moisturising attributes. Well, I tried out the Anthelios XL 50+ SPF Cream mostly used for combination skin like mine. And I have to say, I loved it! Continue Reading »

Go Fresh with Men-U Facial Products

Published by FaiNur under Beauty

Well, you all probably would have know that i recently visited What He Wants: The only shop for men’s personal grooming needs at The Cathay. It’s a cool shop which all men should spend some time browsing and trying out the products on display.

You can thank Nurul for this review. I wasn’t personally interested in getting any products. (Although I was eyeing the super smooth shaving brush and the uber-cool shaver. More as vanity pleasures though.) I wasn’t eyeing any facial products as I was kinda happy with my Nivea for Men facial wash. But Nurul, with her ever gazing curiousity was looking at Men-U skin care products.
